Book Parade

Today we celebrated book week with a book parade. The children looked fantastic in their costumes and enjoyed showing them off at the parade as well as seeing what costumes all the other children in the school were wearing.

 Roy was a cowboy.
 Osten was Raphael; one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
 Shekinyah was a princess.
 Noah was Darth Vader.
 Jasmine was Slinky Malinki.
 Dion was also Raphael; one of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
 Hannah was Sleeping Beauty.
 Bethany was Tinkerbell.
 Hannah was Cinderella.
 Bailey was Ariel the Little Mermaid.
Dylan was Luigi.

P-2 Sports Day

We had an amazing day on Tuesday for the Prep-2 Sports Day. A huge thank you to Hayley Currie for all of the organisation that went into the day to ensure that everything ran smoothly. We would also like to thank the grade 6 helpers who did an amazing job helping out and leading their teams. Everyone was enthusiastic and willing to 'have a go.' It was a great mix between serious athletic events such as hurdles and high jump with fun activities such as the gumboot toss and sack races. Well done to everyone for trying their best.

Tartaruga

Today, Signorina Cardamone brought along Silky, her pet turtle (tartaruga in Italian) for us to see. The students were excited as this was a special surprise. We were lucky enough to see Silky walk and poke his head out.

Superhero Day

Last Friday we had a Superhero Day where the children came dressed as their favourite superheroes. They brought along a gold coin to raise money in support of research for finding a cure for muscular dystrophy. We all had a fantastic day in our costumes.


 Jasmine was an amazing Superwoman.
 Roy was a spectacular Spiderman.
 Noah was a super fast Superman.
 Hannah was a very convincing Cat Woman.
 Osten came dressed as a Soldier.

Bluearth

Today we had lots of fun playing some Bluearth games with Cathryn out in the sun. We have been working on throwing and catching skills and this week we explored kicking balls in a game called hoop soccer.
